AMHERST, Mass. -- Amherst College won five singles matches in straight sets and the Mammoths defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 6-1 at the Amherst Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 19.

- Nationally ranked No. 52 Hamilton (6-8, 2-6 NESCAC) dropped its third straight match – all on the road against higher ranked teams.
- The 13th-ranked Mammoths (10-5, 6-3) won for the fourth time in their last five matches.

How it Happened
- The team doubles point was secured by Amherst, but the Continentals' No. 1 pairing of Hannah Apsey '25 and Stephanie Pratt '25 put up a strong fight in their 7-5 setback against Lily Dounchis and Deliala Friedman.
- Apsey collected Hamilton's team point with a strong performance in her No. 1 singles match against Dounchis. Apsey eventually prevailed 11-9 in an exciting third set super-tiebreaker.

- Apsey is now at 39-37 for her singles career. She leads the Continentals with 10 singles wins this season and is 6-2 against NESCAC opponents.

Hamilton hosts Williams College for another conference match at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 20. The teams were originally scheduled to play on March 9.
