BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin College won four singles matches in straight sets and the Polar Bears defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 6-1 in a NESCAC match played inside Maine Pines Racquet & Fitness on Saturday, April 12.
Season Update
- Nationally ranked No. 38 Hamilton (6-6, 2-4 NESCAC) has alternated wins and losses for the past six matches.
- No. 13 Bowdoin (9-4, 4-2) won for the fourth time in the last five matches.
How it Happened
- The Continentals did not secure the team doubles point, but No. 1 pairing Hannah Apsey '25 and Stephanie Pratt '25 recorded a 6-2 victory against Bowdoin's Jamilah Karah and Caroline Stuhlfaut.
- In singles play, Apsey breezed to a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Cara Hung in the No. 1 matchup. Pratt extended Stuhlfault to a third set super-tiebreaker in the No. 2 singles clash before Stuhlfault prevailed.

- Apsey and Pratt are 9-3 as a doubles pairing in dual matches and 28-15 in their Hamilton career. Apsey has a 52-29 career doubles record and Pratt has 41 career doubles victories.
- Apsey has a 4-2 singles record against NESCAC opponents and picked up her 37th career singles win for the Continentals.
