HARTFORD, Conn. – Hamilton College captured five of six singles matches and the Continentals posted a 6-1 NESCAC win against the Trinity College Bantams inside Trinity's Memorial Field House on Sunday, March 30.
Season Update
- Hamilton (5-4, 1-2 NESCAC) won for the third time in its last four matches.
- The Bantams (5-5, 0-4) haven't earned more than one team point in any of their four conference matches this season.
How It Happened
- The Continentals swept the three doubles lines.
- Hamilton carried that momentum into singles play as they won the first set in four out of six matches.
- The Continentals clinched the victory with their fourth team point after Shannon Cicero '25 triumphed in straight sets at No. 6 singles.
Notes
- Hannah Apsey '25 and Stephanie Pratt '25 were winners at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, and teamed up for the victory at No. 1 doubles. Apsey became just the fourth Hamilton women's tennis player to reach 50 career doubles wins and is tied for third on the all-time list.
- Pratt is tied for seventh on the team's all-time doubles wins list with 39. She leads the team with seven singles victories this season.
- Priyanka Challapalli '27 and Hannah Walpole '26 triumphed at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, respectively and paired up for the No. 2 doubles win.
- Cicero picked up her 27th career singles victory and worked with Muhan Cui '28 for the No. 3 doubles win. They are 5-3 this spring as a doubles team and Cui has an 8-5 record in doubles play this season.
- The Continentals have won six straight meetings with Trinity.

Billy Boykin said. "I thought we played our most complete match of the year so far. We came out with good energy in the doubles and executed well early on. In singles, we kept our focus and played some good tennis. This team always competes well. I think we're getting better with each match."
