HARTFORD, Conn. – Hamilton College's
Lleyton Mendieta '28 and
Eerik Villem Aadamsoo '28 won their singles and doubles matches, and the Continentals posted a 6-1 NESCAC victory against the Trinity College Bantams inside Trinity's Memorial Field House on Sunday, March 30.
Season Update
- Nationally ranked No. 36 Hamilton (10-3, 1-3 NESCAC) has lost just once in its last nine matches.
- The Bantams (5-4, 0-4) lost both of its conference matches this weekend by a 6-1 decision.
How It Happened
- Trinity got off to a great start by winning two doubles matches and earning the team doubles point.
- The Continentals responded with a sweep of the six singles matches. Hamilton captured every singles match in straight sets.
Notes
- Mendieta was victorious at No. 2 singles and Aadamsoo triumphed at No. 5 singles. They recorded Hamilton's lone doubles win at No. 3 and improved to 15-7 this season, including 10-2 in dual matches.
- Mendieta has a 10-3 singles record in dual matches this spring and Aadamsoo is 8-3.
- Connor Griff '25 prevailed in his first match at No. 1 singles this spring. Griff is 18-5 this season and 73-25 for his career.
- Tarun Korwar '27 was a winner at No. 3 singles. Korwar is 14-4 this season and 32-11 in his career with the Continentals.
- Anson Anderson '26 recorded the victory at No. 4 singles for the 35th of his career.
- Antonio Chavez '28 outlasted his opponent at No. 6 singles by scores of 7-5 and 6-4.
- Hamilton has won the last two meetings in Hartford.
