ORLANDO, Fla. – The Hamilton College Continentals had little trouble in their 7-0 non-conference win against the College of Saint Benedict Bennies at the USTA National Campus on Friday, March 21.
Season Update
- Hamilton (3-3 overall) ended its losing skid at three matches. Two of those three losses were against ranked teams.
- Saint Benedict (2-4) is 0-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
How It Happened
- The Continentals won all three doubles matches and earned the team doubles point. Hamilton dropped just two games in doubles play.
- Stephanie Pratt '25 and Priyanka Challapalli '27 didn't lose a game at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively.
- Hannah Walpole '26 surrendered one game at No. 4 singles.
- Hannah Apsey '25 won the first set at No. 1 singles and her opponent retired before the start of the second.
- Samantha Rainero '26 (No. 5 singles) and Muhan Cui '28 (No. 6) triumphed in straight sets.
Notes
- Apsey won her 32nd career singles match and Pratt won her 28th. They improved to a team-best 9-4 as a doubles team. Apsey's career doubles record is 48-27.
- Walpole won her 20th career singles and 27th career doubles match.
- Cui won her team-high sixth singles match and lifted her doubles record to 6-4.
- Rainero captured her 20th career singles victory.
- Shannon Cicero '25 won her 29th career doubles match.
