PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Keira Rogan '28 finished fifth out of 20 athletes in the women's 3,000-meter run at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships inside Nazareth University's Golisano Training Center early Saturday evening on March 15.
Rogan shattered her own team record by nearly eight seconds with a time of 9:34.31. She earned four team points for the Continentals with her performance. Rogan was seeded ninth in the event going into the championships. Wilmington College's (Ohio) Faith Duncan won the race in a meet-record time of 9:22.45.
Rogan was in 18
th place after the first lap with a time of 37.39 seconds, but had moved all the way up to 10
th after 800 meters in 2:30.16. She was in ninth place after the seventh lap, and took over eighth place through 1,600 meters in 5:04.98.
Rogan made a big move in the 10
th lap when she went from eighth place to sixth place with a time of 6:22.72 through 2,000 meters. Rogan made her final move in the 12
th lap where she moved into fifth place in 7:40.91 after 2,400 meters. She posted her fastest split time in the final lap, which she finished in 35.78 seconds.
Rogan and her teammates begin the outdoor season in two weeks.
