MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Middlebury College swept the six singles matches and the Panthers defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 7-0 in a NESCAC match inside Middlebury's Nelson Recreation Center on Saturday, March 8.
Season Update
- Nationally ranked No. 34 Hamilton (2-1, 0-1 NESCAC) had won its first two matches by 5-2 decisions.
- The sixth-ranked Panthers (3-0, 1-0) have given up two team points through their first three matches.
How It Happened
- Tarun Korwar '27 and Anson Anderson '26 were winners at No. 1 doubles as they outlasted their opponents 7-5.
- Middlebury won the other two doubles matches and clinched the doubles team point.
- The Panthers claimed all six singles points, but the No. 2 singles match went three sets and the No. 3 singles match had to go to a third set super-tiebreaker.
Notes
- Anderson and Korwar improved to 3-0 in dual matches this spring. They are 16-11 all-time as a doubles pairing.
- Anderson won his 40th career doubles match with the Continentals.
