DELHI, N.Y. – SUNY Delhi's Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim poured in a game-high 30 points and led the Broncos to a 78-72 win over the Hamilton College Continentals inside Delhi's Floyd L. Maines Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Season Update

  • Hamilton (2-3 overall) dropped its second consecutive road matchup.
  • SUNY Delhi (1-5), which is 0-2 in the North Atlantic Conference, gave up a season low in points.

How It Happened

  • The Continentals took their only lead of the first half at 5-4 with 16:55 remaining after Jalen Reese '27 received a pass from Matthew Rideout '27 and converted a jump hook in the paint.
  • Ibrahim swished a 3-pointer near the left corner in transition and put the Broncos back in front, 7-5. The sophomore knocked down another triple at the 12:37 mark and gave Delhi a 14-11 advantage.
  • Alister Walsh '29 grabbed an offensive rebound for the Continentals and sent a pass to the right wing for Evan O'Reilly '29 who swished a 3-pointer at the 11:38 mark that cut Hamilton's deficit to one.
  • An 8-1 spurt by the Broncos gave them a 23-15 lead with 9:11 remaining.
  • With just under six minutes left, Rob Cain '28 caught a pass on the left wing, drove to the baseline and finished a contested layup that made it 26-19.
  • Delhi scored six of the next seven points, including a fast-break layup by Kai Harvey that extended its lead to 12.
  • Rideout drove towards the baseline and swished a pull-up jumper with just over one minute remaining that trimmed Hamilton's deficit to nine.
  • Yanni Brooks canned a fade-away jumper for the Broncos on their next possession and Delhi took a 35-24 lead into halftime.
  • Hamilton attacked the offensive glass in the second half, pulling down 16 of its season-high 23 offensive rebounds in the final 20 minutes.
  • A 3-pointer by Ibrahim 59 seconds into the second half gave the Broncos their largest lead of 13 points at 39-26.
  • The Continentals responded with an 11-0 run. Nate Raub '27 kicked a pass out to Jack Stowell '27 for a 3-pointer at the 18:40 mark, David Melson '29 scored in the paint on back-to-back possessions, Reese converted a fast-break layup, and Stowell capped the run with a steal and a fast-break layup with 15:50 left.
  • Ibrahim scored seven straight for the Broncos with two right-corner 3-pointers, the second of which turned into a four-point play after he drew a foul on the attempt.
  • Two free throws by Harvey gave the Broncos a 48-43 advantage with 12:13 left.
  • Hamilton went on a 9-0 run over the next 3:45 of game action and took its first lead since early in the first half.
  • A 3-pointer by Harvey with 6:30 left put Delhi back in front. The Broncos shot 6-of-11 (54.55%) from 3-point range in the second half.
  • With 2:36 remaining, Raub drew a foul and converted both free throws for a 63-62 Hamilton lead. The Broncos scored the next seven points with the help of a 3-pointer and two free throws by Ibrahim and grabbed a 69-63 lead with 1:28 to go.
  • Ibrahim sank five more free throws over the next 55 seconds and kept the Broncos in front, 74-67.
  • Melson finished a reverse layup following an offensive rebound and cut the deficit to 76-72 with 14 seconds remaining. Hamilton's full-court pressure forced a Delhi turnover with 11 seconds left, but the Continentals missed a jumper and that led to a fast-break dunk for the Broncos for the final margin.
