The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Lewiston, Maine, to play the Bates College Bobcats in a 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Field Hockey Championship quarterfinal at Campus Avenue Field on Saturday, Nov. 1 at noon.

Hamilton (11-4 overall) tied for fifth place in the NESCAC standings with a 6-4 record and is the sixth seed for the championship. The Continentals won 2-1 at Bates on a goal by Brighton McMahon '29 with 2:12 left in the fourth quarter on Oct. 5. Hamilton is ranked ninth in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll and 10^th in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) as of Oct. 28. The Continentals are 6-2 away from home.
 
The Bobcats (12-3 overall) tied for second place in the NESCAC standings with a 7-3 record and are the third seed for the championship. Bates was the conference runner-up in 2024. The Bobcats are ranked sixth in the coaches poll and seventh in the NPI as of Oct. 28. Bates has a 7-1 record at home with the lone loss coming against Hamilton.
