UTICA, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals competed against 12 teams at the 2025 Utica University Track & Field Winter Opener at Todd & Jenn Hutton Sports and Recreation Center on Friday, Jan. 17.
The multi-divisional, non-team scoring meet was the second of the 2024-25 season for Hamilton, which will be at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston for the New England Small College Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 26.
Keira Rogan '28 was the team's top performer as she set a women's team record and finished fourth in the mile run with a time of 5:03.66. Hanna Jerome '18 held the old record of 5:03.98 since Feb. 25, 2018. Rogan took third place in the 800-meter run and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference championships in both events.
Amelia Johnson '28, who is the team record-holder in the 60-meter hurdles, placed third in the finals after she earned the last qualifying spot in the preliminary heats.
