ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Hamilton College swept a tri-meet against Rochester Institute of Technology and nationally ranked No. 24 Ithaca College at RIT's Judson Pool on Saturday, Jan. 11.
 
The Continentals took first place in six events including the meet-ending 200-yard freestyle relay, which turned out to be the race of the day. The foursome of Chloe Lan '28, Paige Wielgus '28, Carolyn Miner '27 and Jade Matthias '26 posted a time of 1:39.66 and finished four one-hundredths of a second ahead of RIT.
 
The two-time all-American Matthias didn't skip a beat in her first meet this season after studying off-campus during the fall semester. She captured first place in the 50 free (24.62) and the 100 backstroke (59.27).
 
Zoe Reynolds '28 also won two individual events. Reynolds recorded the fastest time in the 200 butterfly (2:14.34) and the 200 individual medley (2:13.20).
 
Brooks Risher '27 was Hamilton's top distance freestyle swimmer as she finished first in the 1,000 free (11:00.31) and second in the 500 free (5:27.04).
 
The Continentals take on Williams College and Middlebury College at Williams on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m.
