BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin College captured five of six singles matches and the Polar Bears rallied for a 6-3 NESCAC victory against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Maine Pines Racquet & Fitness on Saturday, April 6.
The Continentals (6-6, 0-4 NESCAC) travel to Colby College, which is 49th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Collegiate Tennis Rankings, for another conference match at noon on Sunday, April 7. Bowdoin (10-3, 2-0) is ranked fifth by the ITA.
Tarun Korwar '27 helped get two team points for Hamilton. Korwar won in straight sets at second flight singles and was paired with
Anson Anderson '26 for an 8-7 (7-5) triumph at first flight doubles against the third-ranked doubles team in the region. Korwar has a 16-4 singles record and he and Anderson are 8-3 as a doubles team. Anderson is a team-best 17-7 in doubles play this season.
Gianni Esposito '24 and
Connor Griff '25 prevailed 8-6 at second flight doubles. Esposito and Griff are 5-2 as a doubles team this spring. Griff's doubles record this season is 15-8.
