Men's lacrosse falls at Trinity in NESCAC action, 11-7

Bantams scored the first five goals and led 8-2 at the half

HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College scored five goals in the opening nine minutes of the first quarter and the Bantams went on to an 11-7 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Trinity's Jessee/Miller Field on Saturday, April 6.
 

Season Update

  • Hamilton (6-4, 3-4 NESCAC) defeated nationally ranked No. 18 Middlebury College by six goals four days before playing the Bantams.
  • Trinity (6-4, 2-3) has won three straight and six of its last seven games.
 

How It Happened

  • The Bantams jumped out to a 5-0 lead with 6:19 left in the first quarter and led by at least four goals the rest of the way.
  • Frank Coyle '26 took a feed from Thomas Healy '26 and put the Continentals on the board on a man-up goal with eight seconds remaining in the first.
  • Trinity ran off three more goals in the first five minutes of the second quarter for an 8-1 advantage.
  • The Bantams led 8-2 at the half and 10-3 after three quarters.
 

Notes

  • Coyle finished with two goals for his fifth multi-goal game this season.
  • Healy chipped in a goal and an assist and leads Hamilton with 38 points.
  • Will Heher '25 scored twice and tops the team with 22 goals.
  • Justin Pearl '25 notched his first goal in three games and has 15 this season.
  • Evan deBerjeois '27 scored his fifth goal and caused two turnovers.
  • Jesse Delinsky '26 picked up an assist for his 19th point this season.
  • Johnny Oblak '24 recorded an assist, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
  • Reece Hickey '26 and Jake Mair '25 scooped up three ground balls apiece.
  • Jack Fried '25 made 15 saves including six in the first quarter.
  • Jon Krikorian led the Trinity offense with five points on three goals and two assists. Hayden Shin won 15 of 22 faceoffs, collected eight ground balls and added a goal and an assist. Carter Barford caused three turnovers and Jordan Opdahl stopped 14 shots.
