CLINTON, N.Y. – Middlebury College swept the three doubles matches and the nationally ranked No. 11 Panthers defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 8-1 in NESCAC action at Hamilton's Tietje Family Tennis Center on Saturday, April 20.
The Continentals (7-8, 1-6 NESCAC) stay at home on Sunday, April 21 when they take on No. 8 Williams College for another conference contest at noon. It will be Hamilton's final home match this spring.
Connor Griff '25 earned the team point for the Continentals. Griff, who is 23-3 in singles play including 5-2 against NESCAC opponents, rallied to defeat Julian Wu in three sets. Griff is sixth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region singles rankings and Wu is eighth. Griff clinched the victory with a 10-6 decision in the third set super-tiebreaker.
