CLINTON, N.Y. – Williams College won all six singles matches and the Ephs recovered from an early deficit for a 7-2 NESCAC victory against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Sunday, April 21.
The Continentals (7-9, 1-7 NESCAC) travel to Tufts University for another conference match at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27. Williams (13-2, 7-1) is eighth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Collegiate Tennis Rankings.
Hamilton held a 2-1 lead in team points after the doubles round.
Anson Anderson '26 and
Tarun Korwar '27 edged an Ephs doubles team that was ranked second in the Northeast Region, 8-7 and 7-3 in the tiebreaker. Anderson and Korwar are 10-5 as a team this season. Anderson is 19-9 in doubles play in 2023-24 and 34-19 for his career with the Continentals.
Gianni Esposito '24 and
Connor Griff '25 recorded an 8-5 victory at second flight doubles. They are 7-3 as a pairing, including 4-1 against NESCAC opponents. Griff is 17-10 in doubles matches this season.
