Men's tennis cruises to 8-1 win over Connecticut College

Griff '25, Anderson '26 and Korwar '27 triumphed in both singles and doubles play

CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College swept the six singles matches and the Continentals defeated Connecticut College 8-1 in a NESCAC match played inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday, April 13.

Hamilton (7-7, 1-5 NESCAC) got the win on Senior Day as Gianni Esposito '24 and Pius Lo '24 were honored. The Continentals will remain at home for their next match on Saturday, April 20 when they take on Middlebury College at noon.

Anson Anderson '26 and Tarun Korwar '27 teamed up for a first flight doubles victory and improved their record to 9-4 as a pairing. Anderson collected his team-high 18th doubles win this season.

Esposito and Connor Griff '25 won their second flight doubles match, making their record 6-2 as a pair, including 3-0 in NESCAC matches.

Griff (first flight), Korwar (second), and Anderson (third) won their singles matches handily in straight sets. Griff and Korwar improved their singles records to 22-3 and 18-4, respectively. Anderson picked up his first singles victory in NESCAC play and 14th overall in singles this season.

Coby Feldman '26 (fourth) and Charlie Sternberg '27 (sixth) outlasted their singles opponents in three sets. Sternberg sealed his victory with a 7-0 decision in a third set tiebreaker. Nicolas Gritz '25 defeated his singles opponent in two sets in his fifth flight match. All three achieved their first NESCAC win of the spring season.
