CLINTON, N.Y. – Trinity College won three singles matches in three sets and the Bantams edged the Hamilton College Continentals 5-4 in a NESCAC match played inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday, March 23.
The Continentals (6-4, 0-2 NESCAC) won two of the three doubles matches but lost a team point when a Hamilton player was forced to retire during the second set of his singles match.
This was the first of nine consecutive conference matches for the Continentals. Hamilton plays at Amherst College (7-1, 2-0) on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m.
Connor Griff '25 and
Tarun Korwar '27 won their singles and doubles matches for the Continentals. Griff improved to 7-0 in dual matches and 20-1 overall with a win in straight sets at first flight singles. Griff and
Gianni Esposito '24 breezed to an 8-1 victory at second flight doubles. Griff has a 14-7 doubles record this season.
Korwar triumphed 6-0 in his first set and cruised to the win at third flight singles. He's 15-3 in singles play, including 9-1 in dual matches, in his first season. Korwar teamed up with
Anson Anderson '26 for an easy 8-1 victory at first flight doubles. They are 7-2 as a doubles pairing and Anderson has a team-best 16-6 doubles record this season.
