Men's tennis defeats St. Lawrence, Goucher on last day in Florida

Continentals won all six of their doubles matches on Monday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hamilton College's Anson Anderson '26 and Tarun Korwar '27 combined to earn six team points as the Continentals wrapped up their Florida trip with two non-conference wins at the USTA National Campus on Monday, March 18.
 
Hamilton (6-3 overall) swept the doubles matches in a 6-3 victory against St. Lawrence University in the morning. The Continentals breezed to a 9-0 triumph against Goucher College in the late afternoon.
 
Anderson and Korwar are 6-2 as a doubles team after a pair of wins at first flight. Anderson, who has played all but one of his singles matches at first and second flight, improved to 7-2 in dual matches with two victories. Korwar also won twice and owns a 14-3 singles record in his first season.
 
Charlie Sternberg '27 and Ignatio Tran '27 continued to be Hamilton's most successful doubles pair this season after two more victories at third flight moved their record to 14-3. They also won their singles matches against Goucher at fourth and sixth flight, respectively.
 
Gianni Esposito '24 and Connor Griff '25 won their matches at second flight doubles. Griff is 13-7 in doubles play and 19-1 in singles after a victory in straight sets at first flight against St. Lawrence.
 
Nicolas Gritz '25 triumphed at third flight singles against Goucher for his 18th career victory, and Mark Apsey '25 was a winner at fifth flight singles against the Gophers.
 
The Continentals return home for a conference match against Trinity College (5-2, 0-0 NESCAC) on Saturday, March 23 at noon.
