Five Hamilton College Continentals have earned College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) 2023 Individual Scholar All-America Team status.
To be named to the Scholar All-America first team, student-athletes must achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or better during the 2023 spring semester and participate in their respective national championship. Second team selections also earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher during the spring semester and met the "B" time standard for the national championship, or participated in a diving zone qualification meet.
All five Hamilton swimmers made the first team.
Emilio Vicioso '23 (New York, N.Y./The Dalton School) earned all-America honors for the men's 100-yard breaststroke after he finished fourth in the consolation final (12th overall) at the 2023 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in March.
Jade Matthias '26 (Reading, Pa./Mercersburg Academy), Ashlyn Blessey '26 (Fairfield, Conn./Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall), Caroline Shen '24 (Cumberland, R.I./Cumberland HS) and
Sam Karlson '23 (Warwick, R.I./La Salle Academy) collected all-America awards for the women's 200 freestyle relay after they finished fourth in the consolation final (12th overall) at the NCAA championships. Karlson was also an all-American for taking seventh place in the championship final of the 100 free.
