Baseball’s season ends in NESCAC Championship quarterfinal series

Continentals finished the 2023 campaign with 18 wins

WATERVILLE, Maine – Colby College's Genki LeClair went 5-for-7 with five runs scored and four driven in, and the Mules swept the Hamilton College Continentals in a 2023 NESCAC Baseball Championship quarterfinal series at Colby's Coombs Field on Saturday afternoon, May 6.

The Continentals (18-15 overall) were the No. 3 seed from the NESCAC West Division. Despite opening the season with six straight losses, Hamilton made its second consecutive postseason appearance.

The Mules (24-10) rallied for a 7-6 win in the first game and ended the series with a 12-8 victory. Colby finished second in the NESCAC East Division standings with a 7-5 record and is the No. 2 seed in the East. The Mules host the double-elimination championship weekend from May 12 to May 14.
