Women's squash edged by Bates in Epps Cup final at Penn

Harrity '23, Glass '25 and Korengold '25 won all three weekend matches for the Continentals

PHILADELPHIA -- The Hamilton College Continentals dropped a 5-4 decision against the Bates College Bobcats in the Epps Cup (D Division) final during the 2023 College Squash Association National Collegiate Team Championships at the University of Pennsylvania Squash Center on Sunday afternoon.

Hamilton defeated Connecticut College 9-0 in Friday's first round and edged St. Lawrence University 5-4 in Saturday's semifinals. The Continentals finished the season with a record 6-10.

Natalie Harrity '23 won in four games at the fifth position for Hamilton. Katie Hodulik '23 (seventh position) and Eliza Glass '25 (eighth position) prevailed in five games. Glass wrapped up the season with a 10-6 record. Gainsley Korengold '25 swept her opponent at the ninth position and led the team with an 11-5 record, including 7-4 against NESCAC opponents.

Harrity, Glass and Korengold won all three of their Epps Cup matches. Harrity finished her career with 17 wins for the Continentals.
