Hamilton (6-4-5 overall) finished sixth in the NESCAC standings with a 3-4-3 record and is the No. 6 seed for the championship. The Continentals hosted the Camels on Sept. 30 and Conn. College prevailed, 3-2. Since that match Hamilton has three wins, no losses and three ties. The three draws have come in the Continentals' last three matches and all three have been against ranked opponents.

The seventh-ranked Camels (10-0-5) tied for third in the NESCAC standings with 20 points (5-0-5 record) and is the No. 3 seed for the championship due to a tiebreaker procedure. Conn. College completed its first unbeaten regular season in team history. The Camels have faced Hamilton twice in the conference championship and lost both times.
