MALDEN, Mass. -- Hamilton College scored three goals in the first period and the Continentals went on to a 5-2 NESCAC win against the Tufts University Jumbos at Malden Valley Forum on Saturday.

Hamilton (8-6-0, 6-3 NESCAC) won its third straight conference game on the road. Tufts dropped to 5-8-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the NESCAC.

How It Happened
- Ben Zimmerman '26 put the Continentals on the scoreboard with their second shot on goal at 3:38 of the first period. Nick Hawkins '23 and Cade Groton '23 had the assists.
- Sean McAvoy '23 gave Hamilton a two-goal cushion with 6:36 left in the first. Ryan Brown '25 and Logan Greene '24 picked up the assists.
- The same trio made it 3-0 in favor of the Continentals with 3:42 remaining in the period. This time Greene scored and Brown and McAvoy had the helpers.
- The Jumbos tried to rally in the second period. Sam Miller scored 2:52 into the period and Tyler Sedlak pulled Tufts within a goal at 9:46.
- Max Bulawka '26 scored a huge goal for Hamilton with one second left in the period. Max Wutzke '24 and Alex Danis '26 collected the assists, and the Continentals took a 4-2 advantage into the third.
- The Jumbos had their chances in the final 20 minutes as they hit the post twice and put three shots on goal during a power-play chance early in the period.
- Matt Gellerman '24 sealed the win for Hamilton with 48 seconds to go. Tufts pulled its goaltender for an extra skater with 1:30 left and Gellerman eventually scored into the empty net. Zimmerman claimed the assist.
