Volleyball outlasts Williams in five-set thriller

Three Continentals reach double digits in kills

Hamilton College's Kate Carman '24 hammered a season-high 17 kills and the Continentals battled to a 3-2 NESCAC win over the Williams College Ephs on Saturday afternoon inside Williams's Chandler Gymnasium.

How It Happened

  • Hamilton jumped out to a 5-1 lead thanks to four kills by Carman and never trailed in the fifth and deciding set. Up 6-4, the Continentals added three consecutive points on a pair of kills and an Ephs attack error. Hamilton held a five-point lead at 10-5 when Williams produced a four-point rally to draw within a single point and force a timeout by the Continentals.
  • Williams evened the score at 11-11 on a service ace. The Continentals pushed for three straight points on two kills and a Pati Cerda '26 ace, but the Ephs answered with three in a row and forged another tie at 14-14. Hamilton clinched the match on kills by setter Melissa Morelli '24 and McClintic.
