Hamilton College's
Andrew Harrell '23 qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships in the men's 5,000-meter run during Utica University's Pioneer Spring Invitational at Utica's Track and Turf Complex on Saturday.

The Continentals finished third out of 10 teams with 127 points. The hosts captured the team title with 228 points and SUNY Oneonta was runner-up with 132. Hamilton competes in the SUNY Cortland Upstate Alternative Meet on Saturday, April 16 at 10 a.m.

Harrell posted a winning time of 15:06.46 in the 5,000 meters. He set the school record in the 10,000-meter run two weeks ago.

James Gallagher '24 captured first place in the 1,500-meter run, but his winning time of 4:02.17 was just 17 one-hundredths of a second from qualifying for the AARTFC championships.
Brogan Deem-Ranzetta '24 ended up in fourth place in the 800-meter run (2:05.49).

The Continentals also won the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 44.93 seconds.
Josh Harmsen '23, Michael Ngaw '25, Phillip Le '24 and
Rasikh Shaukat '25 were the members of that relay. Harmsen landed in third place in the 100-meter dash final with a time of 11.19 seconds. Le was fourth in the 400-meter dash in 54.83 seconds and eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.57 seconds.

Peter Cuomo '24 led the field athletes as he finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 12.53 meters and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.18 meters.
James Ball '22 grabbed third place in the javelin throw with a distance of 47.57 meters,
Michael Fasano '25 claimed sixth place in the shot put with a toss of 12.20 meters, and
Kamau Hopewell '25 was seventh in the discus throw with a mark of 36.50 meters.
