Women's hockey hosts Williams in NESCAC championship quarterfinal

Saturday's game is a rematch of the Continentals' thrilling 4-3 win in 2020 quarterfinal at Sage Rink

The Hamilton College Continentals host the Williams College Ephs in a 2022 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Hockey Championship quarterfinal at Russell Sage Rink on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m.

The winner advances to the championship semifinals at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, March 5. The final is Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at the same site where the semifinals were played.

The Continentals have an overall record of 11-9-0 and are the No. 4 seed for this event with an 8-8 conference mark. Hamilton edged Williams 4-3 in a thrilling 2020 NESCAC championship quarterfinal at Sage Rink. Michaela Giuttari '20 scored with 2.8 seconds left and lifted the Continentals to the come-from-behind victory.

The Ephs are 12-9-0 overall and are the No. 5 seed for the championship with a 7-8 NESCAC record. Williams swept the two-game season series against Hamilton with a 4-1 win on Dec. 3 and a 2-1 overtime triumph on Dec. 4 at Sage Rink.
