Men's hockey NESCAC quarterfinal at Wesleyan moved to Sunday

Continentals aim to advance to conference semifinals for the fourth time in the last five championships

The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Middletown, Conn., for a 2022 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Hockey Championship quarterfinal against the Wesleyan University Cardinals at Wesleyan's Spurrier-Snyder Rink on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.

The game was originally scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 26, but was postponed due to a winter storm warning for much of the Northeast on Friday. Sunday's winner advances to the championship semifinals at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, March 5. The final is Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at the same site where the semifinals were played.

The Continentals have an overall record of 10-9-1 and are the No. 5 seed for this event with a 9-8-1 conference mark. Hamilton has lost just twice in its last eight games, and those two losses were both by a goal including one in overtime.

The Cardinals are 10-11-3 overall and are the No. 4 seed for the championship with an 8-7-3 NESCAC record. Wesleyan swept the two-game season series against the Continentals with a 4-3 overtime win in Connecticut on Dec. 3 and a 3-1 triumph on Jan. 28 at Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink.
