Men's basketball hosts Colby in first round of NESCAC championship

Continentals defeated the Mules on Feb. 4 at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House

The Hamilton College Continentals host the Colby College Mules in the first round of the 2022 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Basketball Championship at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.

The winner advances to the championship quarterfinals and a matchup with No. 1 seed Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. Hamilton defeated Colby 66-54 at home on Feb. 4.

The Continentals have an overall record of 12-12 and are the No. 8 seed for this event with a 4-6 conference mark. Hamilton is 8-2 at home this season but the Continentals enter the postseason on a three-game losing streak.

The Mules are 11-12 overall and are the No. 9 seed for the championship with a 3-7 NESCAC record. Colby started its current four-game losing streak with the setback at Hamilton.
