The Hamilton College Continentals edged the Wesleyan University Cardinals 5-4 in the first round of the 2022 NESCAC Women's Squash Championship at Hamilton's Little Squash Center on Friday night.

The Continentals (7-7 overall) will take on top-seeded Trinity College in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m. Hamilton is the No. 8 seed for the championship. Wesleyan – the ninth seed in this event – dipped to 6-6 on the season.

The Continentals dominated the top of the ladder as
Sarah Stonestreet '25 (first position),
Eliana Good '24 (second) and
Zoe Reinert '24 (fourth) swept their opponents in three games.
Eleanor Bailey '25 defeated her opponent in four games at the third position. Reinert's record improved to 5-4 while Good and Bailey won their seventh matches.

Eleanor Struthers '22 kept rolling along at the seventh position with a three-game victory at the seventh position. Struthers leads the team with 10 wins, and she moved her career record to 35-18.
