Ben Zimmerman '26 scored two goals and the Continentals handed the Trinity College Bantams their first NESCAC loss, 3-1, at Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Friday night.

The Continentals won their third straight and improved to 3-2-0 overall and 1-1 in the conference. Nationally ranked No. 11 Trinity fell to 3-2-0 overall and 2-1 in the NESCAC.

How It Happened
- Both teams registered 11 shots in the first period but no goals.
- Zimmerman changed that 3:47 into the second period when he gained control of a loose puck in the slot, skated to his right and slid a wrist shot into the back of the net.
- Zimmerman made it 2-0 just 51 seconds into the third period with a power-play goal on an opportunity that started late in the second after the Bantams were whistled for a roughing penalty. Nick Hawkins '23 sent a pass from behind the goal to Zimmerman, who went down to one knee and scored on a one-timer.
- Nicholas Siffringer cut Trinity's deficit in half with 8:34 left as he set up at the edge of the crease and tipped a slap shot by Jacob Borgida.
- The Bantams, who finished with 14 shots on goal in the third period, pulled their goaltender with 1:20 remaining for an extra skater.
- A few seconds later, Jackson Krock '26 collected a turnover in Hamilton's defensive zone along the left boards. He skated past center ice and scored on the empty net with 63 seconds to go.
- Trinity managed two more shots on goal in the final minute but Charlie Archer '25 stopped both of them and preserved the victory.

Notes
- Archer, who has a 1.68 goals against average and .944 save percentage in three starts, made a career-high 30 saves.
- Zimmerman's goals were his first with the Continentals.
- Krock's goal was his first at Hamilton, but he leads the team with four points. He was also credited with an assist on Zimmerman's first goal.
- Hawkins' assist was his third this season and the 16th of his career.
- Grisha Gotovets '25 picked up his first point this season and his 14th career assist with the Continentals.
- Fred Allaire '23 won 14 of 23 faceoffs and Sean McAvoy '23 won 7 of 11 for Hamilton.
- Hamilton blocked 15 shots.
- J.P. Mella turned away 23 shots for the Bantams.
- The Bantams had averaged 5.5 goals in their first four games.
- The Continentals were 1-for-3 on the power play while Trinity was scoreless in three opportunities.
- Hamilton has won three in a row and four of the last five meetings with the Bantams.
