Season Update
Both teams are 1-1-0 after the nationally ranked No. 11 Mammoths shut out No. 15 Hamilton 4-0 in the season opener on Friday at Amherst.

How It Happened
- The teams combined for 20 shots but no goals in the first period.
- Nina Shaikh '24 scored the Continentals' first goal of 2022-23 just 1:28 into the second period. Bobbi Roca '24 and Abby Smith '24 picked up the assists.
- Sheridan kept the Mammoths at bay by making nine more stops in the second.
- Claire McGennis '24 provided the insurance goal for Hamilton with 4:40 left in the third period. Mya Berretta '23 and Roca collected the assists.
- Amherst went on its third power play with 2:13 remaining when one of the Continentals was sent to the penalty box for tripping.
- About a minute later, the Mammoths pulled goaltender Natalie Stott for an extra skater.
- Despite a 6-on-4 advantage Amherst managed just two more shots, both of which were blocked, and Hamilton held on for the victory.
