How It Happened
- Tracey Stafford '23 gave Hamilton all the offense it needed 4:56 into the first quarter. Lilly Truchon '26 sent the ball towards the cage from the right wing and Stafford swept it past the goalkeeper from near the right post.
- The Continentals made it 2-0 on their third penalty corner in the first minute of the third quarter. Donaghey inserted the ball on the corner to Alana King '24 on the left wing. King took the shot and Donaghey tipped it past the left post 51 seconds into the second half.
- Donaghey clinched the win with 1:40 left in the fourth quarter. Hamilton was awarded a penalty corner and the Continentals worked the ball around to Becca Munoz '25 near the top of the circle. Munoz took a shot that was blocked and Maura Holden '23 controlled the loose ball near the center of the circle. Holden passed a few feet to the right to Donaghey and she hacked a shot that bounced over the goal line.
- The Bobcats' Paige Cote clanged a shot off the left post when the score was still 2-0 with a little more than 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
