Women’s soccer cruises past Cazenovia in non-conference shutout

Continentals tallied double-digit goals for the first time in 16 years

Hamilton College had 10 players score and the Continentals rolled past the Cazenovia College Wildcats with a 10-0 non-conference decision on Sunday afternoon at Cazenovia's Christakos Field. 
 
How It Happened 
  • Caroline Dawson '23 put Hamilton on the board in the 25th minute assisted by Jess Yee '26. 
  • Hyla Mosher '23 collected her fifth goal of the season on a pass from Dawson just before the first half ended. 
  • Olivia Zubarik '25 received a pass from Maddie Ledbury in the 50th minute and put Hamilton up 3-0. 
  • Ledbury extended Hamilton's lead in the 64th minute on an assist from Erin Rayhill '25. 
  • Rose McCullough '23 converted a penalty kick less than two minutes later and stretched Hamilton's lead to 5-0. 
  • Yee recorded her first collegiate goal in the 68th minute. 
  • Ashlyn Gaulin '23 assisted on a goal by Allie Reed '23 goal in the 70th minute.
  • Emma Gaulin '23 netted her first career goal in the 80th minute. 
  • A little more than three minutes later, Ally Goldin '23 recorded her first career goal. 
  • Claire Kaplan '23 netted Hamilton's 10th and final goal on a pass from Dawson in the final minute. 
  • Hamilton collected a season-high 37 shots and limited the Wildcats to two. 
  • The Continentals held a 14-0 advantage on corner kicks. 
Notes
  • Cazenovia wrapped up its season with a 6-9-1 overall record. 
  • This is the most goals the Continentals have scored since a 10-1 win against SUNY Polytechnic on Sept. 7, 2006. 
  • Dawson notched her fourth goal this season and set the team's all-time record with her 18th career assist. 
  • Mosher collected her 22nd career goal.
  • Ledbury tallied her team-high seventh goal and tied for the team lead in points with 15. 
  • Reed registered her second goal this year. 
  • Zubarik, McCullough and Kaplan all recorded their first goals of the season. 
  • 25 Continentals saw action on the pitch.
  • Nieve Tonna '26 started in goal and the Continentals recorded their second shutout of the season. 
  • Cazenovia's Kaylana Criasia made five saves in goal in 43-plus minutes before Meghan McCarthy took over and pitched in nine saves for the Wildcats.
