Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Ledbury ’26 scores twice in 6-1 women’s soccer non-conference win

First-year leads the Continentals with a half-dozen goals and 12 points

Hamilton College's Maddie Ledbury '26 and Frankie Lilly '23 led the Continentals to a 6-1 non-conference victory over Mount Saint Mary College at Hamilton's Love Field on Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • Caroline Dawson '23 put Hamilton on the board in the 32nd minute with a left-footed rocket from outside the 18-yard box following a throw-in from Ashlyn Gaulin '23.
  • The Continentals struck again nine minutes later at 41:03. Hyla Mosher '23 beat her defender off the dribble, placed it at the corner of the six-yard box and Erin Rayhill '25 sprinted in and fired a shot that snuck past the Knights' Caroline Brucato.
  • Lilly netted Hamilton's third goal less than two minutes into the second half. Evie McCreery '26 sent a shot that hit the right post and Lilly pursued the rebound and placed it in the lower left-hand corner.
  • Ledbury scored the Continentals' fourth goal at 51:54 on a pass from Lilly to the middle of the box that Ledbury knocked high into the net.
  • The Knights' lone goal came in the 56th minute powered by a free kick. They produced three shots before Victoria Maffettone chipped it into the lower right-hand corner.
  • Hamilton extended its lead to 5-1 in the 63rd minute on another goal by Ledbury. Lilly took her defender for a run on the left side and sent a cross to the door step. Ledbury outran two defenders, slid into the ball and placed it in the back of the net.
  • Allie Reed '23 added Hamilton's final goal in the 86th minute. Emma Gaulin '23 sent a beautiful pass to the top of the six-yard box where Reed tapped the ball into the lower right-hand corner.
  • The Continentals held a 6-2 edge on corner kicks.
  • Hamilton outshot Mount Saint Mary 34-8 with 14 on net.
