Hamilton College's
Bram Mansbach '24 was part of both event victories for the Continentals in the 2022 Utica College Blue and Orange Invitational at Hutton Sports & Recreation Center on Saturday.
Hamilton finished in sixth place out of 14 teams that scored a point with 40. SUNY Brockport edged Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute by 3.5 points for the team title with 117.
Mansbach was the winner in the men's mile run with a time of 4:22.65 that qualified him for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships. He also anchored the winning distance medley relay that posted a time of 10:56.60.
Scott Levy '25, Rasikh Shaukat '25 and
George Brady '23 joined Mansbach on that relay.
Brady finished fourth in the mile (4:25.89) and
Brogan Deem-Ranzetta '24 ended up in eighth place (4:39.37). Deem-Ranzetta also landed in ninth place in the 800-meter run (2:06.95).
The Continentals had four athletes qualify for the AARTFC indoor meet in the 3,000-meter run.
Andrew Harrell '23 led the way in sixth place (8:35.26),
James Gallagher '24 was ninth (8:41.42),
Max Steffey '22 was close behind in 11
th place (8:43.81), and
AJ Zuckerman '23 rounded out the group in 16
th place (8:49.67).
Nick Lyon '22 grabbed third place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:30.43.
Hamilton competes in the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 5 starting at 10 a.m.
