The Bowdoin College Polar Bears defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 6-3 in a Walker Cup (C Division) consolation semifinal as part of the 2020 College Squash Association National Women's Team Championships at Yale University on Saturday morning.
Hamilton (8-11 overall) will take on sixth seed William Smith College in a match for seventh place in the C Division at Yale on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 8:30 a.m. The Continentals are the eighth seed in the division and Bowdoin is the fifth seed.
Hamilton's Liesl Guenther '21 is 11-5 this season after she swept her opponent in three games at the sixth position. Guenther posted the 29th win of her career with the Continentals.
Eleanor Struthers '22 was a winner in four games at the seventh position and she leads the team with 13 victories. Struthers is 6-5 in matches against NESCAC opponents. Daisy Sulavik '22 triumphed in three games at the eighth position and has six wins this season.
