The Continentals (16-8, 4-6 NESCAC) are tied for seventh place in the conference standings as all but one game has been played in the regular season around the NESCAC. Hamilton needs Wesleyan University to win at Bowdoin College on Sunday afternoon in order for the Continentals to clinch the eighth and final seed in the 2020 NESCAC Men's Basketball Championship. The quarterfinals are Saturday, Feb. 22.
Trinity (16-8, 6-4) is in a three-way for fourth place with Middlebury College and Williams College. The Bantams will be the fourth seed for the championship and will host one of those quarterfinals.

Trinity still led 22-16 seven minutes in when Hamilton went on an 11-0 spurt. Anderson scored in the paint on a nice feed from Denloye and Lutz knocked down a 3-pointer from the top of the key. Lutz then nailed a deep trey from four feet behind the line on the left wing, was fouled and made the free throw for a four-point play. Elliott Tirbaso '22 capped the run with a driving layup down the left side of the lane for a 27-22 advantage with 9:42 left in the half.

The first eight points came on free throws, thanks in part to two technical fouls on Trinity, and Anderson swished a 3-pointer from the left side for a 45-34 lead with 4:40 remaining.
