The Continentals (5-6-4, 4-4-2 NESCAC) played their second straight 2-2 tie and have just one loss in their last seven games. Hamilton took 10 of its 22 shots in the second period as the Continentals played at Sage Rink for the first time since Dec. 7. Hamilton is back on the road at SUNY Cortland for a non-conference game on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 5 p.m.
Amherst (4-9-2, 3-6-1) took the season series as the Mammoths defeated the Continentals 5-2 at home in the season opener back on Nov. 16. Amherst was held scoreless on four power-play opportunities and still has just one power-play goal this season. The Mammoths were playing the last of seven games in a row away from home.
Hamilton scored the first goal and never trailed. Andrew Court '22 passed from behind the net out to Ursitti in front for a one-timer from the bottom of the right faceoff circle at 10:05 of the first period. Uristti leads the Continentals with six goals and nine points, and Court collected his first assist this season.
The Mammoths tied the score just 25 seconds after a Hamilton penalty for boarding expired late in the first. Connor Merrill scored on a wrist shot from the dot in the right faceoff circle with 2:17 left.
The Continentals went ahead again at 5:13 of the second period. Joey Moore '22, who won all eight of his faceoffs, played the puck back to Sam Jones '20 and it eventually found its way back to Moore at the red line. Moore skated into Hamilton's offensive zone, played the puck off the left-side boards to himself and sent a pass from the faceoff circle to Bray in the slot. Bray swept the puck low into the back of the net on the glove side of Dan Dachille (20 saves). Moore and Nick Hawkins '23, who had the secondary assist, are part of a four-way tie for the team lead with five helpers.
The score remained 2-1 in the Continentals' favor until 2:49 remained in the third period. Amherst's Patrick Daly hit the right post with 3:20 to go but the Mammoths tied the score 30 seconds later. Sean Wrenn found the back of the net on a wrist shot from the high slot that finished a rush up the ice.

The Continentals had one last chance on a rush up the ice late in the extra session, but a one-timer by Sean Allen '21 from the left faceoff circle sailed just wide of the right post with about two seconds left.
Hamilton's Justin Felhaber '21 won 17 of 22 faceoffs as the Continentals won nearly two-thirds of the 62 faceoffs during the evening.
