Women's soccer drops NESCAC game to Wesleyan

The Wesleyan University Cardinals posted a 3-0 NESCAC win over the Hamilton College Continentals on Saturday at Hamilton's Love Field.

Hamilton drops to 8-4-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the NESCAC. Rachel Pike '21 finished with a season-high nine saves.

Nicole Brodkowitz scored with 12:50 left in the first half and Wesleyan (8-2-2, 4-2-2) took a 1-0 lead into the break. Dani Milovanov took the corner kick from the left side and sent a low pass to Brodkowitz at the top of the box. Brodkowitz one-timed a shot underneath the crossbar for her first goal of the season.

The Cardinals scored twice in the final 10 minutes. Grace Devanny made it 2-0 with help from Gianna Argento and Danielle Soto as she tipped the ball over the goal line at 80:04. Soto dished out her second assist at 87:39 when she made a short pass to Kate Hausladen at the top-left corner of the box and Hausladen blasted a shot that sailed perfectly into the upper-right corner.

Hamilton competes in its final home match of the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 22 when the Continentals take on Sage Colleges in non-conference action at 3:30 p.m.
