Box Score Hamilton College's Hagop Kouchakdjian '21 and Aidan Wood '20 scored in the second half and the Continentals shut out the Trinity College Bantams 2-0 in NESCAC action on Saturday afternoon in Hartford, Conn.
The Continentals (5-5-1, 2-3-1 NESCAC) are unbeaten in their last five games by blanking their opponents 12-0. In the last four games, Wood and Kouchakdjian have scored seven of Hamilton's 11 goals.
Trinity falls to 1-10-0 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
Hamilton immediately returns home for a NESCAC game on Sunday, Oct. 13 against nationally ranked No. 1 Tufts University at 2:30 p.m. on Love Field.
After a scoreless first half, Wood put the visitors on the scoreboard with his team-leading fifth goal of the season. Jack Sheehan '21 controlled the ball along the left sideline and passed ahead to Noah Giovannelli '21. Giovannelli launched a cross to the hashmark where Kouchakdjian downed the ball with his head and Wood buried it into the back of the net at 47:01.
Kouchakdjian doubled Hamilton's lead in the 60th minute. Jefri Schmidt '20 received the throw-in from the right side and passed to Wood outside Trinity's penalty box. Wood chipped a head-high cross to the top of the goal area where Kouchakdjian redirected the ball inside the back post for a personal-best three points.
Thomas Benson '22 made both of his saves in the first half for the Continentals. Trinity's Everett Lyons finished with eight stops.
