The Hamilton College Continentals posted an 8-1 victory against the St. Lawrence University Saints in a Walker Cup (C Division) consolation bracket match at the 2018 College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships played at Harvard University on Saturday morning.

Hamilton (10-10 overall) advances to the Walker Cup consolation bracket final against Franklin & Marshall College at Harvard at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18. The Continentals are 22nd in the CSA National Team Rankings and St. Lawrence is 23rd. Hamilton defeated the Saints by the same score in Canton, N.Y., back on Jan. 29.

Rafiatou Ouro-Aguy '18 was edged 11-13 in the first game at the first position but she allowed just eight points in the next three games and prevailed in four for her 33rd career win with the Continentals. Charlotte Zonis '19 also won the 33rd match of her Hamilton career after she rallied from a two games-to-none deficit and clinched the victory with an 11-9 decision in the deciding fifth game at the second position.

Megan Grip '19 outlasted her opponent 14-12 in the first game at the third position but cruised in the next two games and won in three. Grace Munschauer '18 and Caitlin Stern '21 triumphed in three games at the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, for their ninth wins this season.

Katherine Bauer '18 posted her 39th career victory as she prevailed in three games at the sixth position. Marina Hartnick '18 improved to 12-6 this season with a three-game win at the eighth position, and Danielle Reisley '18 picked up her team-high 14th victory as she won all three games by an 11-9 count at the ninth position.
