Nationally ranked No. 15 Hamilton College wrapped up the regular season with an 84-51 non-conference victory over SUNY Cobleskill at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Tuesday night.

Hamilton (21-3 overall) shot 52.5 percent from the field, 77.8 percent (14-for-18) at the charity stripe, had a 42-20 point advantage in the paint and scored 27 points off 16 turnovers.

Peter Hoffmann '19 needed just eight points to become the 33rd Continental in history to achieve 1,000 for his career, and he hit the milestone with 4:14 left in the first half. The junior forward finished the game a perfect 9 of 9 from the field and led the team with 19 points.

Vince Conn '20 dropped in 15 points and grabbed two steals in 17 minutes off the bench. Matthew Moros '18 drained three treys and dished out two assists in just nine minutes. Michael Grassey '19 pulled down 12 of Hamilton's 44 rebounds and added seven points and two steals. Kena Gilmour '20 chipped in eight points, four rebounds and three assists. Spencer Kendall '21 finished with five points and five boards, and Ty Washington '21 handed out three helpers.

Cobleskill (7-17) senior guard Malik Chambers joined Hoffmann in the 1,000-point club. Chambers was 11 points short at the start of the contest and led all scorers with 20 for 1,009 career points. Chambers is just the fourth Fighting Tiger in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark. Christian Cooper had eight points with two 3-pointers. Antwan Claxton and Devin Boyle scored six points apiece. Claxton collected 10 rebounds and Boyle had three steals.

Grassey and Tim Doyle '19 opened the game with back-to-back layups for a 4-0 Hamilton lead. Cobleskill's Kahlil Wilson and Joel Costello responded with two layups to tie the score at 4-4 at 15:05 before the Continentals scored 18 unanswered, and the Fighting Tigers never recovered. Conn drained a three at 14:06 and followed with an old-fashioned 3-point play at 12:39 to make the score 12-4. Andrew Groll '19 posted up and banked in two layups at 10:43 and 10:00, and Kendall finished the run by going 2-for-2 at the charity stripe at 8:48 for the 22-4 Hamilton advantage. Ja'quan McGill followed with a 3-pointer at 8:34 for Cobleskill, and then Hoffmann went to work down low with three straight layups. Joe Pucci '18 gave Hamilton a 24-point lead at 31-7 with a three at 6:09, and Groll found Hoffmann at 4:14 for his 1,000th career point.

Hamilton started the second half with a 40-18 lead, and Gilmour scored the next six points for the Continentals as they built a 46-21 lead with 17:58 on the clock. Jack Dwyer '18 dropped in a layup at 12:07 to put Hamilton up by 25 points again at 55-30. Moros extended the lead to 30 points at 69-39 with his first 3-pointer of the night with 4:47 remaining. Sayo Denloye '20 and Moros teamed up for three straight buckets from downtown at 3:17, 2:28 and with 59 seconds left. The last basket by Mike McEneney '21 with three seconds remaining gave Hamilton its largest lead of 33 points.

The Continentals host Tufts University in the NESCAC Championship quarterfinals on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. in Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
