The Hamilton College Continentals recorded a convincing 8-1 win against St. Lawrence University at the Saints' Robie Squash Center on Monday night.

Both teams are 19th in the most recent College Squash Association rankings. Hamilton won for the fourth time in its last five matches and evened its record at 6-6 while St. Lawrence dipped to 9-7.

The Continentals won three matches in three games, three more in four games, and the other two victories were in five games. Charlotte Zonis '19 (second position), Megan Grip '19 (third) and Caitlin Stern '21 (fifth) swept their opponents in three games. Grip dropped just 15 points in her match.

Rafiatou Ouro-Aguy '18 (first), Katherine Bauer '18 (sixth) and Danielle Reisley '18 (ninth) were extended to four games. Ouro-Aguy lost the first game in her match but roared back to win the next three, including 11-1 in the fourth game. She has 32 career victories and Bauer has 35. Reisley leads the team with seven triumphs this season.

Grace Munschauer '18 and Liesl Guenther '21 outlasted their opponents in five games at the fourth and seventh positions, respectively. Munschauer clinched her win with an exciting 13-11 decision in the fifth and deciding game. Guenther is second on the squad with six victories.

Hamilton hosts the NESCAC Men's and Women's Squash Championships this weekend at Little Squash Center. The three-day event begins on Friday, Feb. 2.
