No. 8 Field hockey blanked by the Camels

Box Score

The nationally ranked No. 8 Hamilton College field hockey team was upended 1-0 by Connecticut College in New London, Conn., on Saturday. The setback marks the Continentals' (4-2, 3-1 NESCAC) first NESCAC loss of the season.

Meg Lambo scored the lone goal just 47 seconds into the game, eventually giving the Camels (3-4, 1-3 NESCAC) their first conference win of the season.

The Continentals outshot the Camels 17-2 and had a 13-1 advantage in penalty corners. Andi McGraw made 12 saves for the Camels.

Hamilton pulled Julia Booth '19 from the cage to gain an extra attacker with five minutes left.

With time expired, Tatiana Bradley '19 took the final penalty corner. Bradley served it up to Aly Skelly '18 at the top of the circle but the Camel defenders blocked the shot to secure the upset.

The Continentals return home on Tuesday, Sept. 26 as they host the Pioneers from Utica College at 5:30 p.m. on Goodfriend Field.
