Box Score Wesleyan's Nicole Hilton and Stasie Litinsky posted 11 kills each and the Cardinals swept the Hamilton College Continentals in three sets (25-14, 25-20, 25-12) in a NESCAC match at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday afternoon.
Wesleyan remains undefeated with seven wins overall and two in conference play. The Cardinals finished the match with 45 kills and 18 errors in 103 attempts for a .262 hitting percentage.
Hamilton got out to a 17-13 lead in the second set before the visiting Cardinals ignited a comeback. Wesleyan scored five unanswered to take the lead 18-17 and closed out the set by outscoring Hamilton 7-2.
The Continentals scored two quick points in the final set but Wesleyan responded with a 10-2 run to close out the match and stay on top of the NESCAC standings.
Christine Zizzi '18 picked up 13 digs and Emma Parkhurst '21 had 15 assists and seven digs for the Continentals. Giuliana Rankin '20 and Margaret O'Brien '18 added three blocks apiece.
Hamilton hosts Williams College for a NESCAC match on Friday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.
