Women's soccer wins in overtime at Trinity

Katja Dunlap '18 scored her 10th career goal and the Hamilton College Continentals defeated the Trinity College Bantams 1-0 in Hartford, Conn. Hamilton improves its record to 2-2 overall and 1-2 in NESCAC action. Trinity falls to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Both teams were credited with 10 shots, and Trinity had a 5-0 corner kick advantage.

Emily Dumont '18 made five stops in net for her second shutout of the season and fifth of her Hamilton career.

Cat Gambino '21 had two shots on goal. Her first chance came at the 7:27 mark and second in the final minutes of regulation, but Trinity's Julia Pitino (four saves) denied both attempts. With 30 seconds left in regulation, Darby Philbrick '18 was on the attack but lost the one-on-one battle with a Bantam defender inside the penalty area.

Dunlap scored the game winner 4:14 into overtime. The veteran midfielder found the top corner of the net after controlling a loose ball from 6 yards out.

Hamilton continues in NESCAC action on the road Sunday as they take on Middlebury at 1:30 p.m.
