Kouchakdjian's '21 first goal elevates men's soccer past Trinity

Box Score

Hamilton College's Hagop Kouchakdjian '21 scored his first collegiate goal and the Continentals posted a 1-0 NESCAC win against the Trinity College Bantams (1-2, 0-2 NESCAC) at Trinity Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Continentals outshot Trinity 11-7 and had seven corner kicks to three for the Bantams. Linds Cadwell '20 earned the shutout with five saves.

In the 36th minute of the first half, Kouchakdjian found himself alone inside the Bantams' penalty box. Trinity goalkeeper Mateo Zabala left the net to challenge Kouchakdjian but the rookie barreled his way through Zabala and tapped the ball into the open net.

Hamilton (3-1-1, 1-1 NESCAC) has won three straight games and takes control of the all-time series record 3-2-2.

The Continentals remain on the road to face Middlebury Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
