The Hamilton College men's squash team defeated Connecticut College and Bard College at Hamilton's Little Squash Center on Saturday.
The Continentals (7-11 overall) posted a 6-3 win against Connecticut Coll. for the second time in eight days and breezed to a 9-0 victory against Bard. Hamilton is 29th in the College Squash Association National Team Rankings, Connecticut Coll. is 32nd and Bard is 40th.
Callum Sondhi '20 and Tucker Hamlin '17 won both their matches in three straight games on Saturday at the second and third positions, respectively. Tristan Chaix '20 prevailed in four games against the Camels' Rafael Gamba and swept his Bard opponent in three games at the fourth position.
Further down the ladder, Nicholas Conzelman '20 and Atticus Jones '19 didn't lose a game all day at the seventh and eighth positions, respectively. Jones surrendered just two points to his Bard opponent.
Jonathan Ruth '18 outlasted his Connecticut Coll. opponent 14-12 in their first game en route to a three-game sweep at the eighth position. Colin O'Dowd '19 (first position), Mark Sperry '17 (fifth), Sam Matlick '17 (sixth) and James Novick-Smith '17 (ninth) enjoyed relatively easy three-game victories against Bard.
Hamlin, Matlick, Novick-Smith and Sperry were honored during a senior day ceremony on Saturday. The Continentals travel to Harvard University for the CSA National Team Championships this weekend. Hamilton will play its first opponent -- to be determined -- on Friday, Feb. 17.
