Hamilton College's Lauren Getman '18 scored 19 points in just 19 minutes and the Continentals routed the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers 77-42 in a non-conference game at Cobleskill's Iorio Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

Hamilton (7-5 overall) won for the seventh time in its last nine games. The Continentals enjoyed a 41-25 advantage on the glass and were credited with 20 assists on 29 field goals. Hamilton scored 24 points off 21 turnovers by the Fighting Tigers.

Getman, who leads the team in scoring, was 8 of 13 from the floor. Carly O'Hern '20 reached double figures for the fifth time in her last six games with 10 points off the bench. Fellow reserve Marie Steiner '20 dropped in nine points and Mackenzie Aldridge '20 added nine and four assists.

Samantha Srinivasan '18 posted eight points, six rebounds and four assists for the Continentals. Caroline Barrett '17 was credited with four assists and is second in the NESCAC with 3.8 assists per game. Kendall Rallins '19 and Kate Bushell '17 grabbed six boards apiece off the bench.

Shelby Preston paced Cobleskill (6-4) with seven points and a game-high seven rebounds. Addy Lawson finished with seven points and Shiann Coons handed out three assists. The Fighting Tigers shot just 32.6 percent from the floor.

Hamilton scored the first four points on a pair of Halie Serbent '19 baskets and led the entire way. The score was still 11-5 midway through the first quarter when the Continentals went on a 14-0 run that bridged the end of the first and the beginning of the second quarter.

Getman and O'Hern started the spurt with layups and Rallins added a free throw. Bushell and Steiner drained jumpers before Steiner nailed a 3-pointer for a 23-5 cushion after one quarter. Hamilton was 9 of 15 from the floor in the opening 10 minutes.

Rylie Mainville '18 capped the run with a basket in the paint just seven seconds into the second quarter. Cobleskill didn't get closer than 18 points the rest of the night. Hamilton enjoyed a 39-14 advantage at the half and a 58-30 cushion after three quarters. The Continentals led by as many as 38 points late in the fourth quarter. Hamilton has limited four opponents to less than 50 points this season.

The Continentals return home for a NESCAC game against Bates College on Friday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.
