Box Score The Hamilton College volleyball team wrapped up its final NESCAC weekend series at the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House Saturday afternoon, taking on visiting Amherst. Amherst snapped a two-match losing streak by sweeping the match, winning 25-22, 25-15 and 26-24.
The Continentals are now 6-8 overall this fall while posting a 2-6 conference record. Amherst improved to 11-6 with a 5-3 NESCAC record.
Hamilton's Giuliana Rankin '20 led all players with a career-best 18 kills. She committed just four errors for a hitting percentage of .378. Erin Donahue '18 added seven kills and finished with 13 digs – one short of her career high. Christine Zizzi '18 collected 19 digs. Kyndal Burdin '18, who ranks third in the NESCAC in assists, notched 32 in the match. Kendall Searcy '20 and Margaret O'Brien '18 led Hamilton with three service aces and three blocks, respectively.
For Amherst, Nicole Gould and Lauren Reppert combined for 24 kills (while hitting .392 between them). Hayes Honea had match-best figures of 24 digs and four service aces.
The Continentals are back in action Wednesday, hosting SUNY Polytechnic at 6 p.m. The non-league match will be Hamilton's final home contest of the season.
